Thank You Woolworths!
Thanks to Sherry, mum of Sam in Year 8,
the local branch of Woolworths donated a cheque of just over £350 to the Unit so that we
could extend the resources that we have for the pupils to use.
This was a chance for us to buy items
on our "wish list" so we were all very grateful to Woolworths for the chance to
indulge ourselves.
Below is a picture of Louise accepting
the cheque from the chairman of the charity committee of the Swindon Woolworth's store.

So, what did we buy?
 |
A digital camera for pupils to
take pictures of practical work made in class - a chance to then print off pictures
straight away Also so that we can take
photographs of the different events that we go to and publish them on the internet. |
|

|
A pair of two way radios
that we will be able to use to give pupils greater independence around the school - keep
in touch with staff from around the school at the touch of a button! |
 |
A CD / Radio / Cassette player
that has a built in microphone. This will
help pupils when it comes to recording their work - as well as being small enough to take
with us when we go away on our Adventure Holidays for a bit of light relief! |
Once again - our thanks to all the people at
Woolworth's for helping us out in such a generous manner!
